How to Make the Best Smelling Candles Ever at Home

  1. Choose Candle Containers

The first thing is to get creative with candle containers. The container you pick should be heat-proof meaning they won’t burn when you put hot wax in them. It is always advisable to go for glass or ceramic containers because most of them are heat-proof and come in different designs, acting as beautiful candle holders.

  1. Determine the Amount of Wax

Use your measuring cup to measure the amount of soy wax flaxes wax you need. The amount of wax you use depends on the number of candles you want to make, the shape and thickness of the candles. Safely melt the wax poured into the heat-proof container.

Place the container filled with wax inside a large saucepan filled with a little water. Use the stirrer to ensure that the wax melts evenly and you are not left with any solid parts.

  1. Cool and Scent the Soy Wax

Avoid the wax from becoming too hot by removing the container from the heat immediately after the wax has melted. Clip a candle thermometer inside the container to monitor the temperature while allowing the wax to cool before adding the essential oils.

  1. Place Wicks

Pour the soy-scented wax into your favorite glass jar. The next step is to dip a metal tab of each cotton wick into the wax. Carefully center the wick and ensure that it adheres to the bottom of the glass jar. Leave it for a few minutes and the wax will harden giving you a good smelling candle.
